The so called "ChipTuning" is done via OBD directly to the engine control unit, so all engine data is still processed directly without falsification and all protection functions are preserved. This is possible from a simple "engine protection software" for RX8, over torque increase for turbo engines, up to individual tuning after various hardware changes.
